Vice presidente ASSURB
Presidente ECTP-CEU
On 12 April 2025, the European Council of Spatial Planners (ECTP-CEU) held its spring general assembly in Galway, Ireland, reaffirming its role as a forum for advancing the recognition, standards, and identity of spatial planners in Europe. Against a backdrop of demographic change, climate policy shifts, and evolving EU legislation, participants discussed planners’ role in driving environmental, social, and economic sustainability. A transparent online election selected a new Executive committee (2025-2029), blending experience and diversity. The Assembly also set the stage for the Council’s 40th anniversary in Brussels in november 2025, featuring the General assembly, European urban and regional planning awards, and the Young Planners Workshop, marking a milestone to strengthen the profession’s influence in Europe’s sustainable and democratic transitions.
